Q: Is wifi necessary for this to work?

A: No, WIFI is not neccessory for this door chime. INTENDVISION Door Chime comes with 1 push button transmitter and 2 receivers. The push button is battery operated while the receiver is plug in design. So it will still work normally even goes without WIFI.

Q: Can it be used as a stand alone door chime for toddlers bedroom?

A: Yes, of course. INTENDVISION Door Chime is made of ABS material, which is non-toxic and harmless. It has no electromagnetic radiation, so it’s perfectly safe even for the pregnant women or children. Also there are many pleasant tones or even birthday tunes for children.
